| SUNZone's Digital Security solutions are based on smart card technology. The smart card is a security token that separates sensitive ID data, such as a password or account number, from the computing environment. At the same time, credit card-sized smart cards are capable of storing vast quantities of data. The use of a smart card to gain access to a Web server, home PC or other device supports authentication of the user that protects confidential information – from on-line wallets to the entire contents of a PC – while providing the convenience of a mobile security device. Smart cards are widely deployed in Europe and by the U.S. military, and recent endorsements of smart card-based technology by Microsoft, Sun and American Express point to the explosive potential of this market worldwide. |
